Youth
The City’s Youth Sports Leagues are great for learning sportsmanship and developing athletic talent. Fall and Winter means football and basket ball. Sign up your child today for one (or more) of our basketball leagues. If you’re looking for an opportunity to volunteer, we’ll train you to coach; simply contact the Athletics Office and let the staff know you’re interested in coaching for one of the teams.
There are other athletic programs provided to the youth such as flag football for tots, boxing, and S.W.A.T Karate classes, softball and baseball.
Adults
The adult sport program offerings are excellent ways to beat the winter “blahhs” and stay active. The Department of Recreation and Youth Services offers a variety of athletic programs for its adult citizens. There are some leagues offered for sports such as volleyball and basketball for Fall and Winter. Spring and Summer its, of course, baseball and softball time.
Many of these programs practices and games are held at the City’s various recreational centers, but the baseball and softball games and practices are held at Kettering Field.
For more information on these and other youth and adult sports programs, please contact the Youth Athletics Office at 333-6476.
