The sound of soulful music, the tantalizing aroma of freshly prepared food, the ambiance of an enchanting park, and the warmth of the summer sun…the perfect ingredients for our 2010 Summer Music Series. The series features three festivals, each of which host outstanding live performances in the heart of downtown Dayton, at Dave Hall Plaza Park. The park is located on East Fourth Street between Main and Jefferson Streets. For a detailed lineup of each festival’s artists, visit our website at www.daytonrecreationandyou.com beginning June 1, 2010.
The annual Summer Music Series is hosted by the City of Dayton Department of Recreation and Youth Services. The series is sponsored by Heidelberg Distributing Co., the Downtown Dayton Partnership, the Trolley Stop, and the Crowne Plaza Dayton Hotel. Thanks to our generous sponsors, the festivals are free!
To compliment the live music, the 2010 festivals will feature a variety of food and merchandise vendors. Music lovers are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair and plan to spend the day. Please do not bring alcoholic beverages or glass containers. Due to the large number of participants attending each festival, patrons are asked not to bring their pets. Michelob Women in Jazz
