The City of Dayton’s youth are offered an array of opportunities for all interest types. There are opportunities in the fine arts, athletics, and academics. These opportunities are held at the City of Dayton’s Recreational Centers. These Recreational centers provide an environment that shapes and molds its youth in all facets, emotionally, physically, and mentally, so that they will be prepared for real life experiences. The programs offered at the centers range from open gym, computer lab classes, and dance instruction.
The Recreational Centers offer intersession programs in collaboration with the Dayton Public Schools system. The intersessions are provided three times a year in the fall, winter, and spring. These sessions introduce the youth to new concepts and ideas to enhance classroom performance, while providing fun, interactive recreation.
Besides offering programs, the centers provide activities for its youth in a safe and fun filled environment, such activities.
In addition to teen-appropriate activities at our recreation centers, we also offer specialized programs for teens at the Dayton Bomberger Teen Center.
